Harry is Collingwood’s biggest supporter with a major goal to live on the beach. He’s the office leader with so much knowledge and experience!

He has all the answers and never fails to keep the team accountable in a friendly and funny way. Harry has a heart of gold and loves bringing out the best in everything. He knows his numbers, is always thinking years ahead and always puts a smile on your face. Maybe that’s why so many people call him the ‘Funny Accountant’.


For Meryame, family always comes first. She’s got those real motherly instincts and loves to look after everyone. If there’s something you need help with, Meryame never

fails to go the extra mile to lend a hand. In her spare time, you’ll usually find her creating arts and crafts with her daughters. She loves all things creative, whether it’s make-up, interiors, artwork or something else. Meryame is ambitious, generous and loves nothing more than a room full of good people and positive energy.


Marie loves spending quality time with her family and friends – whether it’s experiencing new restaurants or going out for a cheeky drink! With two nephews

and a niece, she’s always preoccupied with fun activities or exciting adventures. Marie’s big into the gym and a real health enthusiast – so good luck to anyone trying to slow her down! In the office, she loves structure and is super organised. If you’re stuck with something, Marie’s the person you go to!


Trust us, Lina is our Little Miss Perfect. And she loves to have things done in order. Nothing screams excitement to Lina quite like reconciling and

matching up data, so we think Empire’s a pretty good fit for her! In her own time, Lina’s a real mermaid at heart. You’ll normally find her at the beach soaking up the sun and tucking into some ice cream or getting some retail therapy and keeping up with the latest trends. When she just wants to chill out, Lina loves watching movies with her family.


Nataline loves to cook, shop and spend time with her family on all sorts of different adventures. But what makes her really special is just how

dedicated she is to her career! If you send Nataline an email, you’re going to get a reply before you know it. Why? Because she gets a real kick out of delivering for the people she works with – and that’s okay with us! Above anything else, Nataline loves growing personally, professionally and stepping out of her comfort zone.

So Here’s Our Story...

Empire started out with one client, operating out of an empty office above a supermarket. But now, 7 years later, we serve more than 70 Australian businesses across multiple different industries. Wanting the best for the future, we’ve worked tirelessly – training, reading and planning – to grow our team and build a company where everyone felt comfortable and understood.

It’s been a long journey – but it’s one we’re glad to have experienced. When we look back, we always smile and feel a sense of accomplishment. Thing is, the best is still to come! We’re on a mission to help 10,000 people grow their operations by 2030! Every business owner has the right to know how they can grow their own empire.

March 2011

Harry starts working in a public practice accounting firm. But it doesn’t take long before he realises he has something more to offer business owners.

December 2015

After paying his dues, Harry goes it alone and forms HMA Bookkeeping. With just one client per year, he works his magic from a windowless office above a supermarket.

February 2016

The business begins to grow and Harry hires his first bookkeeper, Marie, who adds some real structure and organisation to the team (oh - and she’s still here today!)

March 2017

Supermarket no more! Harry starts to put down roots and finally realises his dream of operating in his own office by purchasing a premises in Caroline Springs Boulevard.

December 2017

Ever driven by ambition and delivering even more value to his clients, Harry signs up for Kerwin Rae’s K2 Elite Program to continue Empire’s business development.

January 2018

Empire was always intended to be a one-stop shop for financial services, so Harry adds another string to his bow by becoming a qualified mortgage broker.

May 2018

Another team member joins the ranks! Meryame is added as bookkeeper and social media manager as the Empire community continues to flourish.

February 2019

Empire as we know it is born. We outgrow HMA Bookkeeping and Harry rebrands the firm to offer accounting and reporting in a way everyone can understand.

April 2019

The company begins its partnership with Steadfast Eastern and grows its suite of services. Empire is now able to provide professional business insurance for its clients.

December 2019

National recognition! Empire wins Kerwin Rae’s K2 Business Accelerator Award after incredible progress that sees net profit grow 11x in the space of just two years.

January 2020

Welcome on board, Lina and Nataline! Two more bookkeepers are added to the ranks as Empire continues to grow and expand at an astonishing rate.

April 2020

To provide further support and develop the bookkeeping team, Empire joins The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers as a member in practice.
